The Health Department would like to remind all dog owners of Borough Ordinance 55-4 relating to dogs running at large. A leash is required at all times. The penalty for a first offense is $100.00; the penalty for a second offense is $200.00; the penalty for third and subsequent offenses is $300.00.

New Beginnings School Book Bag Drive 2018

The New Beginnings School Book Bag Drive is back for 2018 and we are looking to help our young learners start the school year off strong and prepared! For a list of items to donate, see below.

We have an ambitious goal to fill 500 book bags and we need your help! Drop off supplies at Borough Hall or at the Roselle Police Department, both located at 210 Chestnut St. Or, make a financial donation in lieu of or in addition to supplies. Please make checks payable to the Borough of Roselle, with “New Beginnings Book Bag Drive” in the memo line.

Drop off times are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Bookbag Giveaway will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 in Council Chambers from 1 to 3 p.m.

A Gospel Explosion

Third Ward Councilwoman Cynthia Johnson and the Borough of Roselle present “A Gospel Explosion” on Saturday, August 18, 2018 in the Borough Hall Parking Lot, located at 210 Chestnut St., from 5 to 9 p.m. This event will be hosted by 107.5 WBLS’s own Liz Black and cohost MCTQ.

Headlining acts include The Gospel Chariots of Wilson, North Carolina, The Exciting Stephens Singers of Jersey City, NJ, and Clebo & The New Gospel Xplosions of Newark, NJ, among many more! Vendors are welcome.

Register today for UCEDC’s latest free government contracting workshop “Compliance and Accounting Systems Requirements for Government Contractors” on July 26, 2018 at 75 Chestnut St., Cranford, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A key aspect of complying with government regulations is creating business and accounting systems that are compliant with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA).  The agency plays a critical role in contractor oversight by providing auditing, accounting, and financial advisory services in connection with the Department of Defense and other federal agency contracts and subcontracts.

  • Discuss contractor accounting system requirements, key provisions of the Accounting System Administration clause (DFARS 252.242-7006), contract billings, and common accounting system deficiencies
