Unleashed Dogs

The Health Department would like to remind all dog owners of Borough Ordinance 55-4 relating to dogs running at large. A leash is required at all times. The penalty for a first offense is $100.00; the penalty for a second offense is $200.00; the penalty for third and subsequent offenses is $300.00.

The Mayor, Roselle Borough Council and the Department of Recreation proudly present our Annual Winter Wonderland and Christmas Tree Lighting on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 210 Chestnut St., from 6 to 8 p.m.

Road Construction on Chestnut Street

Please be advised that Chestnut Street from W. 1st Avenue to St. George Avenue in Roselle will be under construction on or about Thursday, November 16, 2017. It is anticipated that the work will take approximately 7 nights to complete, weather permitting.

Holiday Home Decorating Contest

The Mayor, Roselle Borough Council and the Department of Recreation present our first Annual Holiday Home Decorating Contest.

The Decorating Contest will be held this season with the following dates:
Entry Application Period: 11/10/17 through 12/11/17
Judging Period: 12/15/17 through 12/20/17
Winners Announced: 12/22/17

Pre-Thanksgiving Roselle Comedy Jam

In association with Roselle Pop Warner, the A.C.H.S. Class of 2018 presents the Pre-Thanksgiving Roselle Comedy Jam on November 22, 2017 at Abraham Clark High School, 122 E. 6th Ave. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $15.

Emergency Assistance

The Communities In Cooperation, Inc. is offering Emergency Assistance for those who qualify.

Emergency Assistance Available for the following:

  • Utilities (Must have a SHUT OFF notice)
  • Food

Client Eligibility:

  • Must be a Resident of Roselle
  • Family is facing hardships, unmet needs
  • Must be at least 65 years of age or younger; with children (between the ages of 0 - 26)
  • Must provide a current State ID and Social Security Cards for adults and children
  • Proof of income

**If you have received CIC assistance previously, no further funding is available.**

To apply you must come to Linden office located at 1025 John St., Linden, NJ on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or call to make an appointment (908) 290-3107.
