Unleashed Dogs

The Health Department would like to remind all dog owners of Borough Ordinance 55-4 relating to dogs running at large. A leash is required at all times. The penalty for a first offense is $100.00; the penalty for a second offense is $200.00; the penalty for third and subsequent offenses is $300.00.

Hispanic Latino Toy Drive Dinner

Join us for the Hispanic Latino Toy Drive Dinner on December 16, 2018 at the Anthony Amalfe Community Center, 1268 Shaffer Ave., from 5 to 8 p.m. This is a free event that includes food, refreshments, music and fun.

All you have to do is bring a new unwrapped toy that will be given to a child on 3 Kings Day, January 6, 2018.

Love Your Glove

The Division of Code Enforcement, Mayor and Council, presents the first annual “Love Your Glove” event. Donate a pair of gloves for kids ages 5 to 13 at the drop box outside the Division of Code Enforcement between December 4, 2018 and December 18, 2018.

Gloves will be given December 19, 2018 in the Municipal Court Room from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

2nd Annual Holiday Light Tour

Mayor Christine Dansereau, the Roselle Borough Council and the Roselle Department of Recreation invite you to join us for the 2nd Annual Holiday Light Tour. Tours will run on Thursday, December 20, 2018 for senior citizens and on Friday, December 21, 2018 for family night. Light refreshments will be served at 6 p.m. and buses will depart from Borough Hall, 210 Chestnut St., at 6:30 p.m.

To participate in our “Battle of the Lights” house decorating contest please submit applications by December 20th. Winners will be notified by email.

Town Hall Meeting - Tuesday, December 18, 2018

Mayor Christine Dansereau, the Borough Council, and the Roselle Everett Hatcher Prevention Coalition invites you to participate in the Town Hall Meeting one Tuesday,  December 18, 2018 at Abraham Clark High School, 122 East 6th Ave., at 6 p.m.

The topic of discussion will be Marijuana Legislation. As New Jersey gets closer to legalizing marijuana, we are bringing together a panel of leaders to answer any questions/concerns residents may have.

A Special Meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Roselle will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Roselle Borough Hall located at 210 Chestnut Street, Roselle, New Jersey.

Election of Council President
Appointment of Professionals
Appointment of Committees
Formal Action will be taken at this meeting

Portions of the meeting may be held in Closed Executive Session, if necessary. 

This is an open public meeting.  Notice of this meeting was sent to the Union County Local Source, the Star Ledger, and Home News Tribune on December 7, 2018. In addition, copies of this notice were posted on the Borough Bulletin Board in Borough Hall and the Borough of Roselle Website.

Make a Child Smile Toy Drive

Mayor Christine Dansereau, the Borough Council, and the Roselle PBA invite you to participate in the “Make a Child Smile Toy Drive!” We are asking that you donate a gift or a new toy for a child between the ages of 3 and 18 years old.
